Theatre Seven is proud to consider itself a center of exciting new play development in Chicago, a place where playwrights can make and remake their play with the help of directors, dramaturgs, actors and audience.

We have a couple categories of play submissions. Please examine the following information to ensure your play is sent properly. Please email all submissions to Artistic Director Brian Golden at brian.golden@theatresevenofchicago.org. Please do NOT send any plays hard copy via the mail. Let's save some trees!

Agent/Friend Submissions

If you have representation or have worked with us before in any capacity, please send the entire play to Artistic Director Brian Golden, along with the play's production/development history and your playwriting resume.

Unsolicited Submissions

Sorry, but we are currently not accepting unsolicited play submissions at this time. All unsolicited plays received will be thrown away or deleted without a response.
